Mitchell obtained his L.L.B. and J.D. in American and Canadian Common Law from the Université de Montréal.He worked as a legislative assistant to a Member of Parliament in Ottawa, and then joined the Charness, Charness & Charness legal team as a specialist in new procedures and the latest innovations in law. He is currently assisting with some of our major client files and is an excellent addition to our legal team. Mitchell is licensed to practice law in both Quebec and Ontario.

Dov B. Charness

Dov obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in 2013, majoring in Labour Law. Dov then obtained his Civil Law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2016. Dov is a member of the Québec Bar and the Ontario Law Society. Dov plays an active role in our firm, becoming the fourth generation of the Charness family to practice as a lawyer. Additionally, Dov teaches Civil Procedure at The University of Ottawa in the Civil Law Section.

Dov enjoys defending his clients by negotiating the best outcomes for them while providing clear advice throughout the process. Dov advises his clients on corporate litigation matters including developing strategies and solutions to the various legal problems faced by our clients. Dov is an experienced litigator, appearing before the various levels of Court in Québec. Dov has experience in commercial dispute, bankruptcy litigation and commercial lease litigation.

Tracy K. Gokhool

Tracy obtained her LL.B from Université de Montréal as well as a Chinese Law Certificate from China’s University of Political Science and Law. Upon completion of her bachelor’s degree, Tracy joined our firm in order to grow and acquire valuable experience before successfully completing the Québec Bar in 2018.

Tracy specializes in Bankruptcy law and Corporate Restructuring. She represents our clients in front of the various Québec courts.



Ousmane Ndiaye-Kaberamanzi

Ousmane joined our legal team after completing his Québec Bar internship in 2022. His practice in civil and commercial litigation covers both settlement negotiations and representations before different judicial courts.

During his postsecondary studies, Ousmane participated in several international United Nations simulations as a diplomat and distinguished himself by his meticulousness and eloquence. These qualities also enabled him to twice win the prize for Best Debater in public speaking competitions at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Montréal.

Ousmane is passionate about team sports, zoology and crime novels.

Erin Kasner-Remer

Erin obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Ottawa. Before law school, she received her BSc in psychology at Concordia University.

While at law school, Erin completed several internships in different areas of law, including family law, corporate law, and competition law. She is looking forward to gaining experience in civil and commercial litigation.

In her free time, Erin enjoys walking her dog, playing tennis, and trying new restaurants

Jacob L. Green

Jacob obtained his L.LB. and J.D. from the Université de Montréal after completing his undergraduate studies in political science at Concordia. During his time in law school, Jacob gained valuable professional legal experience in various areas of law, including business, family, real estate and civil liability. His experience has helped him prepare to work as a litigation lawyer at Charness Charness & Charness as he developed his legal, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as his strong work ethic.

Jacob is passionate about sports and especially loves hockey. He has been an avid athlete his entire life and has played on many different hockey and sports teams.

April Nutakor

April holds a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ghana and a Master of Laws degree from McGill University. She has a diverse legal background as she has interned and worked in Ghanaian, Canadian and international law firms and NGOs specialising in media law, criminal justice, family law, immigration law, regulatory & compliance and commercial litigation. She has also participated in multiple development and community-based projects in Ghana and Quebec. As a stagiaire at CC&C, April looks forward to developing her trial strategy skills and improving on her negotiation and leadership skills.

When she is not working, April enjoys taking nature walks and hiking. On rainy days, she likes to stay in to watch psychological thrillers and true crime documentaries.
